Danny Howells doesn’t fit into the standard dance music paradigms. With a reputation as “the DJs’ DJ”, he has has been around for bloody ages, as early as the 1980's. He doesn’t churn out productions to “remain relevant”, instead only releasing music as and when inspiration strikes. He’s not a publicity hungry, social media devotee. Quietly ploughing his way through the house music continuum, he has remained one of the world’s most captivating selectors precisely because of these organic means. That and his impeccable selection, distinctive style and silky mixing, of course.

He's mixed several albums for Global Underground in addition to his Nocturnal Frequencies series, Balance series & Renaissance compilations. He's been on the DJ Mag top 10 several times, something he doesn't boast about. Being always billed on the same league as Digweed, Sasha, Tenaglia and the likes, Danny has maintained himself on being one of the nicest guys in the electronic music business. Denis Horvat :
Copenhagen based Denis Horvat has quickly become a hot topic in the underground music industry, with his melodic signature sound. A self educated producer with a quite simple musical background as a drummer, he managed to put himself on the map, with releases on Innervisions, Afterlife and Diynamic.

Born to Croatian parents in Frederiksvaerk, a small village 60km north west of Copenhagen, Denis grew up on a musical education of his Dad’s 80s records, with favourites including Depeche Mode, Billy Idol, Blondie and Kiss. Shortly after, at 10-years-old, his cousin introduced him to The Prodigy, starting a long- term love affair with electronic music that hasn’t subsided since.

Denis’ studio set up is stacked with analogue gear, resulting in what he describes as the “synthesizer techno” he makes. And the Dane is also a talented remixer to boot, with his rework of WhoMadeWho ‘Dynasty’ being almost omnipresent on dancefloors.

But despite the fact he focused on production in the early years of his career, Denis has fast established himself as a dj. Focusing on detailed tracks, with selections that weave a tapestry from start to finish, his sets have resulted in Horvat now regularly sharing the bill with some of the world’s most revered selectors, including the likes of Âme, Dixon and Maceo Plex.

Rishi aka Midnight Traffic started his tryst with music like any other person – as a listener. As his fondness for the music grew, so did his inclination towards electronic music and quite effortlessly he started trifling with the desire to be a DJ. Starting with a very limited resource back in 2004, electronic music influenced his outlook towards music, thanks to his unending curiosity about genres, techniques and creating a pulsating vibe on the dance floor. Taking his inquisitiveness to the next level, Rishi embarked on a groovy journey as a DJ without any inhibitions as to where it will lead. However, his growth and evolution had an answer.

He is described as an artist who has constantly experimented with arrays of sounds. Been there for a while, opened for some of the biggies in the business and has gear fetish. He has been silently cooking some mind benders in the studio, always looks for newer sounds and pushes the limit. He surely has a strong and productive future ahead. He often unlocks the sounds he had been weaving together in the studio. Rishi has played alongside some of the biggest names in the country and also of international eminence.

Tanvi started clubbing at a time when the music genuinely had soul and emotion, which reflects back in the form of her musical taste and appreciation. Her tryst with mixing music began at an early age of 11 when she got her first pair of decks and started to experiment with various amalgamations of the music available at her disposal at that time and has never looked back since then. Music, it was.

Like all things fine, her compassion for music arose out of the need to constantly improvise, innovate and think forward. Sculpting her taste over the years since the first time she acquainted with the recent upbringings in the various styles/sub-genres of music, she’s come a long way from listening to Retro, Soul, Jazz & Blues taking influences along the way and helping her define her technique on the recent nuances of House and Techno and everything in between. This makes delivering a stellar performance with a sublime blend of all genres as easy as 1, 2, 3 and 4.

Quick to adapt to change, she’s a born natural at reading the crowd and bring to the table what it takes to make it a memorable and a crackling night of music, joy and pleasure, just about tickling her audience’s senses and leave them craving for more.

Constantly evolving and taking influences from world renowned artists such as Solomun, Kerri Chandler, Booka Shade, Maya Jane Coles, Ellen Allien, Paul Kalkbrenner, Maceo Plex and John Digweed to name a few. Her sense of experimentation and creativity has now led her to give in to the need to create and compose her own blend of music. Active in her home studio, she’s constantly exploring new realms of sonic textures and patterns.

Notable appearances on the same line up with artists such as James Zabiela, Henry Saiz, Jim Rivers, to name a few and a a plethora of club gigs across the country and weekly residencies is proof enough to postulate and summarise the formidable strength of her DJing skills.

With early influences like Minilogue. He has always been moved by the unconventional and deeper sides of electronic music.

Alexander Sukhochev (aka Sashanti) is a creatively gifted person who fulfilled himself in many art forms including journalism, photography, writing, promotion and DJing. During the twenty years of the artistic career he became a prizewinning journalist, showed few of his photo exhibitions around the world and released a bestselling book in Russia about Goa named "The Goa Syndrome". Music though is given a very particular role among all, being a fuel for all the achievements.

Sashanti's music collection started to take shape with a rare electronic music in a still existing Soviet Union, which he played later on in the nightclubs of his small provincial hometown. Being a pioneer of the electronic movement in his native city, he felt the need to grow further. Next step was moving to the cultural centres of Russia Moscow and then St. Petersburg, where he continued to work and develop in the nightlife business.

Tanvi :

From the depths of the carioca electronic music scene – specifically São Paulo – emerges a frank and authentic artist. The integrity and certainty when throwing down Victor Ruiz beats makes it easy to know that he’s landed in a DJ booth. They say that his techno sound has finally found it’s more seductive side. “From Brazil with love” read the title of that interview where he caught the attention with his qualities always supporting super fresh sounds, with fewer grooves. From then on he has been compared to artists like Maceo Plex. Over time Victor Ruiz has grown, not only his production skills but also in his sets, a breath of fresh air to the listener.

When he first stepped into a recording studio his first steps were to reinterpret his roots in a more contemporary way. A futuristic tone but at the same time racial, exciting and danceable. In other words, his sound goes straight to your heart, your head and your feet (We need all of them to dance, right?). Thanks to these components over the years he’s been winning over huge swarms of followers. Loyal followers. You can also discover on his social media and exciting tours like his collaboration with visual artist Any Mello .The perfect pair to make us move while we enjoy a visual trip.

Due to maintenance at KittyKO, the events this Friday & Sunday will move to the Kalinga Hall at The Lalit Ashok, where Dubfire happened. We see it as a great opportunity to relive the experiences of the Dubfire gig last Sunday.

About Artist :
David Brian Pezzner was born in Tarzana, California in 1975 and currently lives in Seattle, Washington. He is 5 foot 7 inches in height and weighs about 165 lbs. His brother, Bill works at the Port Of Seattle and has four children, two of whom are actually step-children. Bill’s wife owns a local publication and is a skilled bicyclist (even though she has not gone professional).

When David works in his studio where he makes electronic music, his wife brings him a drink and discusses her day. The door-keeper comes in to give him a telegram sent the previous year from the Eolian Islands.

In 2010 he wrote an album of music which was released by Freerange records. A year later David’s first and only daughter, Eloise Sylvia was born. She was 5 pounds 11 ounces at birth. David spoke only English and cooked meals for his family every day until 2013 when a company called Systematic Recordings contracted him for another album.
