Tim Engelhardth :
One of Cologne’s youngest and brightest electronic music stars on the rise, Tim Engelhardt didn't gatecrash the scene out of leftfield, but started his path to connoisseurship fairly early on: trying to rewrite the piano pieces he had to practice at the tender age of eight, he showed an independent creative mind from the get-go - a character trait that would prove exremely helpful for a later career as electronic music producer. But it was only when Tim later discovered the releases of Cologne techno luminary Robert Babicz that synthesizers and bass drums moved into focus - a brilliant producer, live performer and mastering engineer with a keen sense for sonic detail, Babicz became the perfect role model for young Tim, inspiring our hero to seek out his own place in electronic music while honing a concise understanding for all facets of production.

Teho :
With all his musical influences, Teho created his own sound, both dreamy and melancholy but also full of energies. He works on details with precision, combining acoustic and electronic to create a soft and melodic techno.

His productions are then released by many labels such as Herzblut recordings, Stephan Bodzin’s label or Sapiens, Agoria’s label. He was discovered by a large public during many events all around the world and especially because of his Live performance on the streaming channel, Cercle. In 2016 Teho launched his project Labo T, a label which gives him the opportunity to express himself freely. The best is still yet to come!

GYLT

Event Flyer

Very sad to learn Oliver Koletzki was not able to board his flight from Singapore to India due to passport/vis issues. All tickets will be refunded.

Supported by BX3.

Oliver Koletzki :

In 200529-year old OLIVER KOLETZKI presses 500 copies of his underground hit "Der Mückenschwarm". One of those white labels lands in Sven Väth's record bag and whenever he plays the track, the people go wild. Shortly after techno-king Väth signs the track on his techno empire Cocoon. "Der Mückenschwarm", already considered as a techno classic - becomes the best sold techno record of 2005, the best ever selling record on Cocoon and OLIVER KOLETZKI gets voted best newcomer of the year in prestigious Groove magazine.

But one would be fooled to think that this was the start of Oliver's musical career. Since he was 12 years old, OLIVER KOLETZKI has been deeply infected with the production of music. He starts out by programming Hip-Hop beats on the C64, but quickly falls in love with more electronic sounds like breakdance and synthie-pop that he produces on the first Amiga computers. When he turns 18, he also starts to DJ in his hometown of Braunschweig and quickly becomes a regular DJ in the local clubs. In 2000 he decides to move to Berlin to study music – and the excessive Berlin nightlife. He promptly lands himself DJ gigs in smaller clubs and bars, but with the release of his first record, things change for the better. In the summer of 2005 he starts to play festivals, gets booked into the most prestigious clubs all over the world and gets asked to remix the likes of Rockers Hi-Fi, Client or Cassius. However, while superstardom is lurking around every corner, Oliver stays down to earth: "I have been making music for nearly twenty years now. That provides me with a stable base for not going nuts. Basically, I am still doing the same that I have been doing for years now: making music during the week and playing out on the weekends, even if it is on a slightly different level now."

The emergence of Sahej Bakshi aka Dualist Inquiry dovetailed with the beginnings of indie or alternative electronica in the country at the start of this decade. The Delhi-based producer, composer and multi-instrumentalist has consistently delivered genre-defying records that have left an indelible mark on the electronica landscape. His distinct guitar-driven sound, honed at the prestigious Thornton School of Music, LA, is one of the few singular sounds in the country today, one that stands out from the ever-growing pervasiveness of commercial electronic music.

Doctor Dru
Has established himself to one of the key proponents of contemporary house music. With a rich, multi-layered history, which permeates into his present output; DJing, working as a drummer, running his own label JEUDI Records, composing for other acts and, of course, producing his own emotive, wistful signature tracks that have cemented his reputation as a purveyor of the finest in deep house music.

Years of deep musical knowledge are reinterpreted into his electronic productions, fueled by his dedication to beats, rhythms and melodies, which began long before his first eighties records got their groove going on. Dru`s scores of machines were fiddled with, investigated and pushed to their limits.
But what about putting soul and smoothness into machines? And when Bootsy Collins asks you to produce his single? Well, you produce like you’re in funk heaven of course. From 2011 Dru conceived modern-day classic edits such as “Juicy Fruit” and “Anymore”. His interpretation “The Voice of Dru” hit the nerve of the time back then and established Doctor Dru as one of the deep house movement’s main players. Being a number one charted artist over the course of several months placed him on the right musical path. In Dru's following output you saw him more stretching out, showing his diversity of productions between the house and techno genre. His very own authentic fingerprint which found so many fans around the globe you can find e.g in “The Pattern” or the in 2017 so well acclaimed track “Prärie”.

The big club and festival doors opened and traveling the globe has led to him representing at some of the world’s most lauded venues such as Warung Beach Club (Brazil), ZigZag (Paris), Destino and Ushuaia (Ibiza), Watergate (Berlin), Revolver Club (Melbourne), Treehouse (Miami), Loveland Festival (Amsterdam) and a many more.

Imagine: Both Richie Hawtin and Dubfire want to sign your debut release. This was the position for Joran van Pol when his first productions hit the scene a few years back. It was the track ‘Faded’ that opened doors for the new producer and soon he was signed to both MINUS and SCI+TEC, quickly drawing the attention of other techno heavy-weights; Oliver Huntemann and Joris Voorn. With further releases on Voorn’s label Rejected Joran reached out to a new audience, expanding his fanbase and setting the stage for what was to come.

These releases also allowed a rapid transition from the Studio 80 backroom to the big stages of Awakenings, Tomorrowland and Space Ibiza. Currently Joran is making waves with his fresh imprint FADE, releasing his own tracks with remixes from the likes of Luigi Madonna and Egbert. Extrawelt tour India for the first time this week, courtesy Nightvibe!

__Extrawelt__
Arne Schaffhausen and Wayan Raabe have been engaged in electronic music since the beginning of the '90s and they still continue succeeding in maxing out this music‘s latitude, shaping their very own and unique style that can hardly be assigned to one of the established subcategories of modern electronic dance music. Initially, the two started touring worldwide as DJs, and later on established the projects 'Midimiliz', 'Spirallianz', 'The Delta' and 'Downhill', which all have gained remarkable success in the scene. Their breakthrough as Extrawelt came in 2005. James Holden released the first Extrawelt single on his label Border Community, kicking off a matchless wave of success that lasts until today. The readers of the two most renowned magazines for electronic music in Germany, 'Groove' and 'Raveline' voted their album "Schöne Neue Extrawelt" Best Album 2008; besides that, they also have been voted Best Live Act 2008 in 'Groove' magazine. Their second album „In Aufruhr“ came out in 2011 on Cocoon Recordings and was equally high acclaimed as their debut. Youtube clips of their tracks exceed the million clicks easily, their Facebook page likes are in the hundred thousands. Reader’s poll of the „Faze“, Germany’s magazine with the highest circulation voted them again on the pole position in the category Best Live Act in 2014. Countless records and remixes sold as well as equally countless live gigs in the best clubs and festivals worldwide from New York via Berlin to Tokyo, Rio and Moscow speak a clear language: Extrawelt are reaching their audience despite – or probably just because of – their obstinacy. In spite of their huge success, the two have – typically Hanseatic – always kept their feet on the ground.

__Tanvi__
Music above all is the sole purpose with which Tanvi began to experiment with a pair of decks and a mixer at home, at an early age 11. Growing up and having listened to a whole array of music ranging from Rock, Metal, Punk, Classical, Electronica and the likes opened her ears up to be able to tell the difference between John Doe and Pink Floyd. After years of practice, she landed her first public performance at 18.

Inclined towards edgy, bold and daunting yet harmonic her DJ sets are a perfectly smooth blend of emotion and versatility. Patrice Bäumel, Anna, Fur Coat, Binaryh, SHFT, Tim Engelhardt and an ever evolving list are some of the artists that Tanvi draws inspiration from.

Notable appearances include performing alongside the likes of Eric Volta, Red Axes, Jim Rivers, James Zabiela, Henry Saiz, etc. and the duly noted performances around India in most cities with a bustling electronic music culture.

_Delika__
Delika has been a music lover since she was very young and always found it to be therapeutic. While growing up, she had several phases where she listened to the entire evolution of electronic music in the 90’s.

Being a flight attendant and travelling the world, she got the opportunity to go to several clubs internationally. She has been influenced by sounds of John Digweed, Sasha, James Zabiela. It was after her solo trip to Berlin in 2017 she realised that it was finally time for her to quit her aviation job and pursue being a DJ.

With so many varied influences from her travels and experiences, she likes to categorically place her sound in a space between deep house and melodic techno with appearances at Blue bar, Kitty Ko, Puma Shuffle and Foxtrot billed on the same line up as big international acts Adana Twins, Danito & Athina and more.

‘THE BEAST FROM THE EAST’ as he is fondly called by friends, followers and fans alike, had an unassuming start in the golden years of the late 1980s in the bustling city of Kolkata, India.

What stood out back in those days was the passion with which this power-house of a talent unleashed cutting-edge dance music from his console, technically perfect and mixing each track with surgical precision, scorching down heaving dance floors of yore.

Thus, slowly but surely began a comprehensive journey of euphoric sets that generated mass hysteria and established this gentle giant as one of India’s topmost DJs. Also referred to as- ‘THE GODFATHER OF HOUSE MUSIC IN INDIA’ by many, he stands head and shoulders above the rest.

Sanjay’s halcyon nights of mammoth seven hour sets are still talked about with feverish passion and delight by veteran clubbers as well as the ever changing, ever evolving party heads of today. His position as a pioneering top jock has been cemented by the constant growth in his fan following and regular assignments at the most prestigious clubs, as well as prolific events often playing alongside some of the greatest superstar DJs of the world.

Dirty Doering :
If all went according to plan you wouldn’t be the least interested in this text. Indeed the story of young Velten who leaves his hometown in the Black Forest to find an orderly apprenticeship in Berlin and who grows up over time – such a story wouldn’t be very gripping.Fortunately there is a club in Berlin that is called „Ostgut“ and people like Velten who like to make irrational decisions from time to time. The outcome is foreseeable: instead of sitting in the subway on his way to work, on a Monday morning, Velten much rather joins his pals in his run down flat for an after hour. Luckily these pals not only share their passion for sheer endless nights, but also start to organise event- series, open bars or turn a rundown Berlin backyard into a club. This is exactly the path that turned Velten within a short period of time into a DJ, producer and finally KATERMUKKE label boss DIRTY DOERING.

Third Son :
In the first three years since conception Third Son has swiftly become a globally recognised artist, revered for his laser-precision DJ sets and his broad musical range, coupling deep and hypnotic melodies with four to the floor techno and the occasional breakbeat.

His father, himself a professor of music, made sure Joseph was trained classically in the art from a young age. His youth interests took him from jazz to rock and further but it was Radiohead’s ‘Kid A’ that was the real rite of passage, with its blurring of electronica and rock shaping something of a revelation for him.

With a hefty number of releases under his belt and support from some of the industry’s key players, he has broken more ground than most in such a short time. Now he looks to develop his skills further, with a live set of his own material and a series of ambient works he is piquing ever more interest from his fans and garnering him new ones alike. Whether it is in the studio or on stage, Third son’s goal is simple: to make the best music he can.

Ruede Hagelstein :
Ruede Hagelstein is a German producer, singer, songwriter, and DJ. He was raised in the suburbs of Berlin and later moved to the capital at the age of 20. He sang in a choir, tortured his guitar, and dreamed of having a rock star career. Instead, he started his DJ career in the late-nineties at the renowned Berlin club Tresor. While his DJing career progressed, Ruede was also an editor for various nightlife and music magazines: Groove Magazin, FLYER Magazin, PRINZ Magazin. His time spent as an editor brought him closer to the heart of the dance music scene, which led him to co-found restrealitaet.de - a Berlin-based web platform covering the local underground Techno scene. In 2006, Ruede earned an Audio Engineer Degree at the SAE Institute and became a resident DJ at Watergate, one of Berlin's most popular clubs.

Named as one of the Top 10 Leading Ladies of the Underground last year by Pulse Magazine along with being snapped up by the almighty Pan-Pot who recognised BEC’s rare talent to join their roster of world class DJs under the Second State imprint is no surprise when you look at her career in music so far. It may have only begun a short time ago, but in just a few years she's accomplished more than most hope to achieve in a lifetime. Brighton born, London bred, and now Berlin based, by her early twenties BEC has rocked floors at top clubs from London, to Hong Kong, to Berlin and Barcelona to name but a few. Becoming a firm favorite with club crowds and the industries elite the world over isn't an easy task, but with her infectious charisma and a vividly distinct sound spanning the vast spaces of grooving, cerebral Techno, BEC is able to do it with ease. Now it's time for her to transport her undeniably contagious sound from live set to release. BEC is just getting started and if her record thus far is any indication, we can expect her to be at the forefront of the scene for many years to come.

The Swedish Anjunadeep, Bedrock, Last Night On Earth artist and Vivrant label founder Jeremy Olander is on a grand ascent.

In 2018, the chart-topping melodic house and techno virtuoso played notable shows at Printworks in London, Chalet in Berlin, Sydney’s Electric Gardens, Montreal’s Stereo, Labyrinth Open in Croatia, Pleinvrees in Amsterdam and Woobar in Bali to name a few. He also put on several label showcases with his label Vivrant in Buenos Aires, Stockholm and introduced his Vivrant at Sea boat party series in Toronto, New York, and Boston, which all sold out.

In December, he released his Beatport chart-climber ‘Leftwoods’ EP on British dance music icon Sasha’s Last Night On Earth, home to La Fleur, Henry Saiz, Undercatt and Joel Mull.

He finished the year off with a tour across three continents and played the first-ever Cercle show in the Nordics that has racked up close to 1 million views at the time of writing and put on a third sold-out Stockholm play in less than a year alongside with Diynamic’s Karmon, Maeve’s Baikal and new Vivrant signee MOLØ.

Johannes Brecht :
There are bustling talents and there are reclusive virtuoso. Johannes Brecht undoubtedly fits in both categories. As a studio and live musician for many German major artists, Brecht was able to build a reputation as a talented newcomer in recent years. A whiz who acted mostly in the background - this is where Brecht felt most comfortable. Therefore, it makes little sense to pigeonhole the man from Stuttgart in only one genre. Let’s try it another way: A classically trained and professional musician roughs up the electronic music scene.

Brecht is responsible for all orchestral arrangements of the Henrik Schwarz Instruments Album on Sony Classical. As Henrik Schwarz heard the first production of his band member, he decided to reactivate his label Sunday Music in January 2013 to release Brecht’s Holla EP. Unsurprisingly, very early Schwarz noticed Brecht’s virtuoso skills that have already been placed in Brecht childhood by a family of musicians. What sounds like the usual story; Brecht’s previous development offers a colorful kaleidoscope of many-sided talents. At the age of five he took lessons for classical piano, later he developed a passion for jazz music, which he channeled through his support in various bands as well as the construction of its first home studios. Logical step, study of jazz pop and double bass and electronic bass guitar at the music college in Stuttgart, who hired him later as a sound engineer.

After a few orchestra tours through Europe and Asia, Brecht developed his interest in popular music studio technologies and his enjoyment of club and electronic music. But blunt dancefloor material is not his claim his productions are have this melodic, deep and sometimes hymnic character. Although Brecht took his first steps into the light of attention in 2013, his latest projects exemplifies his quality as a producer.

Denis Horvat :
Copenhagen based Denis Horvat has quickly become a hot topic in the underground music industry, with his melodic signature sound. A self educated producer with a quite simple musical background as a drummer, he managed to put himself on the map, with releases on Innervisions, Afterlife and Diynamic.

Born to Croatian parents in Frederiksvaerk, a small village 60km north west of Copenhagen, Denis grew up on a musical education of his Dad’s 80s records, with favourites including Depeche Mode, Billy Idol, Blondie and Kiss. Shortly after, at 10-years-old, his cousin introduced him to The Prodigy, starting a long- term love affair with electronic music that hasn’t subsided since.

Denis’ studio set up is stacked with analogue gear, resulting in what he describes as the “synthesizer techno” he makes. And the Dane is also a talented remixer to boot, with his rework of WhoMadeWho ‘Dynasty’ being almost omnipresent on dancefloors.

But despite the fact he focused on production in the early years of his career, Denis has fast established himself as a dj. Focusing on detailed tracks, with selections that weave a tapestry from start to finish, his sets have resulted in Horvat now regularly sharing the bill with some of the world’s most revered selectors, including the likes of Âme, Dixon and Maceo Plex.

Tanvi started clubbing at a time when the music genuinely had soul and emotion, which reflects back in the form of her musical taste and appreciation. Her tryst with mixing music began at an early age of 11 when she got her first pair of decks and started to experiment with various amalgamations of the music available at her disposal at that time and has never looked back since then. Music, it was.

Like all things fine, her compassion for music arose out of the need to constantly improvise, innovate and think forward. Sculpting her taste over the years since the first time she acquainted with the recent upbringings in the various styles/sub-genres of music, she’s come a long way from listening to Retro, Soul, Jazz & Blues taking influences along the way and helping her define her technique on the recent nuances of House and Techno and everything in between. This makes delivering a stellar performance with a sublime blend of all genres as easy as 1, 2, 3 and 4.

Quick to adapt to change, she’s a born natural at reading the crowd and bring to the table what it takes to make it a memorable and a crackling night of music, joy and pleasure, just about tickling her audience’s senses and leave them craving for more.

Constantly evolving and taking influences from world renowned artists such as Solomun, Kerri Chandler, Booka Shade, Maya Jane Coles, Ellen Allien, Paul Kalkbrenner, Maceo Plex and John Digweed to name a few. Her sense of experimentation and creativity has now led her to give in to the need to create and compose her own blend of music. Active in her home studio, she’s constantly exploring new realms of sonic textures and patterns.

Notable appearances on the same line up with artists such as James Zabiela, Henry Saiz, Jim Rivers, to name a few and a a plethora of club gigs across the country and weekly residencies is proof enough to postulate and summarise the formidable strength of her DJing skills.

They say that his techno sound has finally found it’s more seductive side. “From Brazil with love” read the title of that interview where he caught the attention with his qualities always supporting super fresh sounds, with fewer grooves. From then on he has been compared to artists like Maceo Plex. Over time Victor Ruiz has grown, not only his production skills but also in his sets, a breath of fresh air to the listener.

When he first stepped into a recording studio his first steps were to reinterpret his roots in a more contemporary way. A futuristic tone but at the same time racial, exciting and danceable. In other words, his sound goes straight to your heart, your head and your feet (We need all of them to dance, right?). Thanks to these components over the years he’s been winning over huge swarms of followers. Loyal followers. Now a mainstay of the Anjunadeep touring family, Luttrell has played major venues on both sides of the Atlantic, from Exchange in LA to London’s Phonox. 2018 has seen him play Holy Ship, and support Above & Beyond and Lane 8 on their US tours, with more major festival slots to be announced soon.
