Also with Stalvart John & Synths Back.

This December we bring you the ultra-reliable party starters. HMD began in a basement in London's Chinatown where co-founders James Hillard and Jim Stanton created a safe queer space for the disco citizens of London. Inspired by the halcyon days of New York nightlife including Mancuso’s Loft, The Paradise Garage, Nicky Siano’s Gallery and late lamented DJ Adam Goldstone. All four resident DJs Luke Howard, Severino, Jim Stanton and James Hillard have built a reputation for their fantastic parties and high quality disco sets. Musically it’s a glittering disco behemoth of classics, italo disco, house, oddities, Afro, punk funk. Expect a whole bunch of flairs, shimmering disco balls and groovy beats to get down for a proper party.

Deep Brown is the artistic expression of Ankur Kedia emerging from the sonar by lanes of Kolkata. His career started in 2006 at the age of 16 by holding residencies at local clubs, which helped him sharpen his skills and set the stage for his audio experiments… a mixed bag of sounds & emotions, evolving from deep & funky grooves, laid back melodic progressions to the more intense beat driven sounds for the peak hours. He was one of the early adopters of digital DJing exploiting all the possibilities it has to offer. Playing 4 decks with live drum sequencing, his sets are based on the old-school vibe of pure flow, smooth mixes and an on the fly approach of remixing to keep things fresh and connected to the heart of the floor.

For more details contact +918296008571.

Also with Praveen Achary, Greg Tomaz, Mnetal Machines & Ashes.

From the depths of the carioca electronic music scene – specifically São Paulo – emerges a frank and authentic artist. The integrity and certainty when throwing down Victor Ruiz beats makes it easy to know that he’s landed in a DJ booth. They say that his techno sound has finally found it’s more seductive side. “From Brazil with love” read the title of that interview where he caught the attention with his qualities always supporting super fresh sounds, with fewer grooves. From then on he has been compared to artists like Maceo Plex. Over time Victor Ruiz has grown, not only his production skills but also in his sets, a breath of fresh air to the listener.

When he first stepped into a recording studio his first steps were to reinterpret his roots in a more contemporary way. A futuristic tone but at the same time racial, exciting and danceable. In other words, his sound goes straight to your heart, your head and your feet (We need all of them to dance, right?). Thanks to these components over the years he’s been winning over huge swarms of followers. Loyal followers. You can also discover on his social media and exciting tours like his collaboration with visual artist Any Mello .The perfect pair to make us move while we enjoy a visual trip.

RSVP on our guestlist.

Supported by Robby.

Daniel Bortz (Suol) : So widely respected, so seldom acknowledged: Daniel Bortz is an enigmatic character. Besides that fact that he lives in Bavaria and is a successful DJproducer, remarkably little is known about him. He has long been recognized as an accomplished DJ—he travels extensively, though rarely can he be found on the popular festival circuit—but as a producer, he has been nothing short of prolific. A quick Google search exposes a number of his most lauded works—including 2014’s “Steady Note” and 2015’s “Hot In The Fridge”—and a scan of his Discogs page will also reveal a considerable wealth of further material, much of which continues to be played out by many of the world’s leading selectors.

Monoloc : Given his releases on some of techno music's most prominent labels, many will already be familiar with Monoloc. Growing up in Frankfurt, the German native spent his earlier years emerged in the city's punk scene. Only around the age of 16/17 did he become interested in electronic music, inspiring him to start mixing records at birthday parties and bars around the city. Production didn't come until several years later: set on making the music he was playing out, he hired out his first studio space and spent the ensuing six years searching for his own sound before sharing a string of releases through 2008 and 2009. “It was the first time I had showed my work to anyone,” he says. And this proved only to be the start: having become friends with Chris Liebing's CLR crew, he went on to release several EPs and his debut LP on the label, quickly rising to acclaim through his brooding, sophisticated blend of house and techno. This was, he says, an invaluable period in his career during which refined his both his style and sound as a producer and a DJ.
